TRAFFIC ADVISORY – WINDWARD HALF MARATHON AND 5K
The WINDWARD HALF-MARATHON will be held on SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 2023, with approximately 500 participants. The race will start at 6:00 a.m. from Kailua District Park and will travel in the traffic lanes along South Kainalu, to Kailua Road, to Mahealani Place, to Kakahiaka Street, onto Wanaao Drive, to Keolu Drive, to Kainalu Drive, to Kainui Drive, to Oneawa Street, to Mokapu Boulevard, to Old Mokapu Road, to Kaimalino Street, u-turn and then return via same
route to end at Kailua District Park.

PRINCE KUHIO COMMEMORATIVE PARADE
The PRINCE KUHIO COMMEMORATIVE PARADE will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 25, 2023. The parade is expected to have 1,000 marchers, 15 vehicles, 15 floats and 10 bands. The parade will start at Kapolei Parkway/Kamaaha Avenue [WEST] and to proceed east along Kapolei Parkway, and will end at Ka Makana Ali’i Shopping Mall parking lot.
During the parade, there will be no westbound service to the Kaupe’a Neighborhood and the Mehana Community. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY - KONA IKI STREET CLOSURE
BROOKFIELD PROPERTIES will be conducting an underground inspection of a sewage pump located on Kona Iki Street. Therefore, all lanes of Kona Iki Street, between Kapiolani Boulevard and Kona Street, will be closed on TUESDAY, MARCH 21, 2023, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. All traffic to Ala Moana Center will be detoured onto Piikoi Street and Keeaumoku Street.

FULL CLOSURE TO FARRINGTON HIGHWAY AT MAKAHA BRIDGE NO.3
The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) will be doing a full closure of Farrington Highway in both directions, between Makaha Valley Road and Kili Drive, for the construction of the permanent abutment to the Makaha Bridge No. 3. The closure will be starting from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on TUESDAY, MARCH 21, 2023. During closure hours, all traffic through the area will be detoured at Makaha Valley Road and Kili Drive.

DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD OFF-RAMP CLOSURE
With ongoing rail work at the Middle Street Rail Station, there will be a full eastbound closure to the Dillingham Boulevard off-ramp, from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays, starting on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2023, THROUGH THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 2023. All eastbound traffic from the H-1 Freeway will be diverted onto Middle Street, and the ramp access to Dillingham Boulevard via Nimitz Highway, will be diverted to Nimitz Highway. KALAHEO AVENUE AND KAILUA ROAD ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENTS
KIEWIT INFRASTRUCTURE WEST CO. will be continuing construction improvements to the Kalaheo Avenue and Kailua Road roundabout. The portion of Kalaheo Avenue at the roundabout will be closed, 24 HOURS A DAY / 7 DAYS A WEEK, starting from MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2023, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Throughout the duration of the work, all traffic heading both directions on Kailua Road will be detoured through Kuukama Street via Kainalu Drive. TRAFFIC ADVISORY – HEEIA STREAM BRIDGE STREET LIGHT IMPROVEMENTS The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) will be conducting upgrades to the Heʻeia Stream Bridge. The construction work will start at 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on OCTOBER 25, 2022, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The work crews will begin making modifications to the bridge to install new streetlights. The roadway will remain open during the construction work.
