TRAFFIC ADVISORY - NEWMAN CENTER FUN RUN/WALK 

The NEWMAN CENTER FUN RUN/WALK will be held on SATURDAY, JANUARY 26, 2019.  The event may delay bus operations on Kahaloa Dr. from Woodlawn Dr. to E. Manoa Rd.  Approximately 200 participants are expected.

SHARON’S RUN/WALK 5K/10K & BIKE RIDE 

The SHARON’S RUN/WALK 5K/10K & BIKE RIDE will be held on SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2019.  The run/walk will start at Diamond Head State Park, proceed through the Diamond Head and Kahala areas and will finish back at the KCC parking lot. The bike ride will continue on Kalanianaole Hwy. to Keolu Dr., proceed through Kailua and the Lanikai area to Kalapawai Store and return via the same route to KCC. This event is expected to have 450 runners and 200 cyclists.  All roadways will remain open with the exception of the KCC parking lot.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below: 

ROUTE 2, WAIKIKI-SCHOOL-MIDDLE 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to the Makapuu/Alohea driveway to KCC parking lot, continue on Makapuu, right Kilauea, right 18th to the temporary terminus at 18th/Iwalani.  

Westbound:  From the temporary terminus on 18th, TheBus will travel right Diamond Head, and then resume the regular route after passing entrance to the KCC parking lot.

                                                                                                    


BUS STOP CLOSED – TANTALUS DRIVE/PUOWAINA DRIVE

The bus stop at Tantalus Dr./Puowaina Dr. (Stop #3826) will be closed starting on WEDNESDAY, DECember 26, 2018, 24 hours day, 7 days a week until further notice.  Passengers may board buses at the portable bus stop placed 100 feet after the original stop.

HICKAM MAIN GATE (DETOUR)  

Due to the new security procedures at HICKAM MAIN GATE buses will be detoured starting on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2018, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.    TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE 19, WAIKIKI-AIRPORT-HICKAM 

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to O’Malley Blvd/Hickam Main Gate, continue on O’Malley, right Freedom, left Vandenberg, and then resume the regular route.

 


KANEOHE MARINE BASE MOKAPU GATE CLOSURE 

The Mokapu Gate into Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week effective THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018, until further notice.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE 70, LANIKAI-MAUNAWILI

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to N. Kalaheo/Mokapu Rd., continue on N. Kalaheo, onto Kaneohe Bay Dr., right onto access to Kaneohe Marine Base, onto John A. Burns Fwy., enter Main Gate, onto St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 KANEOHE BAY DRIVE, right Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route. 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
